A buddy sent me the following photos yesterday taken in his back yard. He lives on a farmstead in rural Clay County, Minn., and keeps guinea fowl at his place. Seems an intruder made its way into the bird pen and got caught drooling over all the potential targets. Several frantic moments later my buddy opened a door and the raptor quickly made its exit.
For you raptorphiles out there: What is this bird? (All three photos offer a hint to its identity. I will offer my guess at a later date). Feel free to offer your guesses via a submitted comment.
