My son has gotten dirty with sandbagging for the past few days also. Here’s his crew working at a home near his high school, Oak Grove, with a Red Cross vehicle in the foreground:

Near the school is a low area the Fargo Park District has taken over and put in a nice paved bicycle trail. As part of the upgrade a cool little monument was erected a few years ago indicating historic river levels. This was taken yesteday morning. Keep in mind the river is currently 10 feet higher than this photo:

The mayor is thinking we should top out around 39 feet, near the ’97 level. Preparation continues for the highest estimate–41 feet.
